Montag Coffee Roasters

Montag, Nisan 2015’te Kadıköy’de, nitelikli kahve dükkanı ve kavurma evi olarak kuruldu. Montag’ın kavurma felsefesine göre kavurucunun başlıca görevi, çekirdeklerin kendilerine has gastronomik özelliklerinin kahve içeceğine yansıtılmasına izin veren “tat berraklığı”na ulaşmaktır. Üst düzey nitelikli çekirdekler söz konusu olduğunda, bu yaklaşımla temiz, parlak, aromatik ve tatlı kahveler elde edilir.

İyi kahve, iş birliğinin ürünüdür. Montag olarak, kendimize düşen en önemli görevin; çiftçiler, yeşil çekirdek tüccarları, kavurucular, baristalar, yatırımcılar, işletmeciler ve tüketiciler arasında oluşturulması gereken bu iş birliğine katkı sağlamak olduğuna inanıyoruz. Nitelikli kahvenin ancak bu şekilde gelişeceğine ve yaygınlaşacağına inanıyoruz.

Montag was founded in April 2015 in Kadıköy, Istanbul as a specialty coffee shop and roastery. According to Montag’s roasting philosophy, the primary duty of the roaster is to achieve “flavor clarity,” which allows the unique gastronomic qualities of the beans to be reflected in the cup. When it comes to high-quality specialty beans, this approach results in clean, bright, aromatic, and sweet coffees.

Good coffee is the product of collaboration. At Montag, we believe our most important role is to contribute to the collaboration that must be built among farmers, green coffee traders, roasters, baristas, investors, operators, and consumers. We believe that specialty coffee can only develop and become widespread through such cooperation.
