What Firmdex does
Company search and profiles
Firmdex filters companies by industry, location, company size and technology, and every filter shows how many records it keeps. Each Firmdex company profile puts firmographics, technologies, locations and every linked employee on one page.
People at every company
Firmdex links every company to its people. A Firmdex person record holds a name, a job title and a seniority at the current company, and seniority and department filters narrow a search to the right people.
Email verification
Firmdex verifies every work email with a syntax check, a domain and MX lookup, an SMTP mailbox check and a catch-all test. Each email in Firmdex carries one status (Valid, Accept-all, Unknown or Invalid) and the date it was checked.
Email patterns
Firmdex shows how a company formats its email addresses. Firmdex also shows whether the company's domain accepts all mail.
Lists and export
Firmdex saves people and companies to lists. A Firmdex CSV export includes each email's status and verified date.
REST API
PLANNEDThe Firmdex REST API offers the same search and verification endpoints the Firmdex app uses.
MCP server
PLANNEDThe Firmdex MCP server connects Claude or another AI agent to Firmdex. The agent can search companies, find people and verify emails with the same filters as the Firmdex app.

What makes Firmdex different
A date on every verification
Every work email in Firmdex carries its verification status together with the date of the last check, so a Firmdex user can see how fresh each result is.
Verified without sending mail
Firmdex checks each address in four steps: syntax, domain and MX, SMTP mailbox and catch-all. Firmdex never sends a message to the address it verifies.
Accept-all marked, not hidden
Firmdex marks an email Accept-all when the company's mail server accepts every address on its domain. Accept-all emails may deliver, but they bounce more often than Valid emails, so Firmdex users can send to them with more care.
Source and date on every record
Firmdex collects its data from public company websites, business registries and professional profiles that people have made public. Every Firmdex record keeps its source and the date it was collected.
Removal that lasts
Anyone can remove their record from Firmdex with the removal form on the Our Data page. Firmdex deletes the record and blocks it from returning in later updates.
