VERIFICATION METHOD

Four checks, one status

We never send an email to the address. The result and the date are stored with every email.

    Syntax check

    The address is well formed and has no invalid characters.

  2. 2

    Domain and MX lookup

    The domain exists and has mail servers that accept connections.

  3. 3

    SMTP mailbox check

    We ask the mail server whether this mailbox exists, then disconnect.

  4. 4

    Catch-all test

    We test a random address. If it is accepted too, the domain is accept-all.

  5. Final status

    • ✓ Valid
