ISSTeam (International Student Support Team):

Mission: To help international students overcome academic, social, and administrative challenges during their studies.

Key Responsibilities:

Identifying and addressing issues that international students might face in their academic journey.

Assisting with administrative hurdles, such as visa or registration problems.

Collaborating with university departments to resolve problems.

Supporting students in adjusting to life in Turkey, both in terms of academics and daily living.

TFTeam (Target Friendship Team):

Mission: A peer-mentorship project aimed at providing international students with support in building friendships and navigating the social aspects of university life.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing mentors to help international students form friendships and integrate into the university social environment.

Facilitating the exchange of information and supporting students in meeting their various needs.

Identifying academic, social, and administrative problems that international students may face and working with the relevant departments to solve them.

Offering language support in Turkish, English, Arabic, French, Russian, and some other native languages to help students overcome language barriers.

TFTeam helps international students adapt to university life by providing social support and mentorship, ensuring they have a smoother, more enjoyable experience at the university.

Together, these teams focus on ensuring that international students have the support they need, not only academically but also in social settings, while also addressing language challenges that might arise. The combination of peer mentorship and expert support from both ISSTeam and TFTTeam makes for a comprehensive system that nurtures international students’ well-being and success at Üsküdar University.
