Yurt Madenciliğini Geliştirme Vakfı Gençlik Komitesi, Türkiye' de yer bilimleri alanında eğitim görmekte olan öğrencileri birleştirmek, sempozyum, kongre ve benzeri organizasyonlara dahil ederek görgülerini arttırmak, öğrencilere mesleklerini tanıtarak mühendislik etiği kazandırmak, teknik gezi, staj ve burs olanakları sağlamak ve madenciliği topluma tanıtmak amacıyla 1996 yılının Mart ayında Vakıf bünyesinde kurulmuştur.
