Y factor

Y factor is building a trusted digital platform for private sperm donor matching and alternative family building.

Our app directly connects future parents with intended donors, moving away from traditional sperm donation processes where clinics and banks act as gatekeepers to information and donor choice, while providing a structured alternative to donor matching through social media groups.

Y factor combines technology with a human approach to make private donor matching more transparent, structured, and supported, while putting privacy and personal choice at the centre of the experience. Our platform brings information, vetting, communication, shared planning, and ongoing support into one place, giving future parents and intended donors the tools to make informed decisions, establish shared expectations, and build connections on their own terms. From finding a match and getting to know each other, to aligning on the details, planning donations, and managing their journey together, Y factor supports the relationship throughout the process, including after pregnancy.

Founded with expertise from the team behind Cryos International, Y factor is now used across 60+ markets, with users across Europe and North America.

We are a remote-friendly team based across Europe, combining expertise across technology, product, growth, operations, and donor conception. We value autonomy, diverse perspectives, and close collaboration, whether working remotely or together in Copenhagen.
