Warrington Business Improvement District

Warrington BID (Business Improvement District) is a project led by Groundwork CLM, representing 400 businesses and organisations across Warrington town centre.

Together, these businesses are investing £1.8 million over a five-year period to enhance the town’s infrastructure, services and overall experience for both businesses and visitors.

The aim is to support additional promotion and marketing campaigns, improve transport links, enhance safety measures, and introduce initiatives that will make Warrington town centre a cleaner, greener and more attractive place to shop, work and spend leisure time.

The BID sets a business-led agenda, giving businesses across the town centre a unified voice. With a focus on increasing footfall, it promotes a single, dedicated brand for Warrington town centre and actively markets the area year-round to over 100,000 residents living within a 10-mile radius.

By working together, businesses benefit from cost-saving opportunities that can collectively save thousands over the BID’s five-year term, including reduced utility, facilities management and training costs.

The BID also strives to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour by targeting key areas in the town centre, while new transport services are being developed and tested to support extended hours and boost the night-time economy.

Through added value investment, it ensures Warrington town centre becomes a cleaner and greener environment for everyone. In addition, businesses can rely on a single point of contact within the BID to address challenges and explore new opportunities for improvement.
