Vital Farms is on a mission to bring ethically produced food to tables across America. Founded as a single farm in 2007, we've grown into a national consumer brand, working with over 600 family farms and securing nationwide distribution to more than 24,000 retail locations. Vital Farms is the leading U.S. brand of pasture-raised eggs by retail dollar sales.

A Certified B Corporation, Vital Farms has been independently verified to meet high standards in the areas of social and environmental impact, governance, accountability, and transparency. We anchor our business to the mission of improving the lives of people, animals, and the planet through food.

In 2017, Vital Farms opened our flagship egg washing and packing facility, which we've dubbed Egg Central Station. In 2022, we announced plans for our second facility-Vital Crossroads in Seymour, Indiana - which is set to become fully operational in 2027.

Throughout our history, we ve looked for innovative ways to improve the lives of animals, people, and the planet. Weve used emerging technologies such as digital soil mapping, and automated egg processing to improve or speed up necessary practices without passing the cost along to the farmer, customer, or consumer.

Vital Farms' commitment to quality and ethics has earned recognition within the food and beverage industry. We were named Sustainable Plant of the Year by Food Engineering in 2023, and we received LEED® Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council in 2024. Fast Company honored Vital Farms in its Brands that Matter category for four consecutive years, 2021-2024. We were also a Texan by Nature Honoree for leadership in conservation and sustainability in 2025.
