Varkey Foundation

The Varkey Foundation, is a UK-based family education charity. We put teachers at the heart of everything we do; we build the capacity of educators and raise the status of the profession, believing that quality teaching is the route to improving outcomes for underprivileged children. Our portfolio includes:

*The annual Global Teacher Prize. An annual US $1 million award presented to an exceptional teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to their profession.

*Global Education forums which engage policy-makers, educators and business leaders that effect global change for teachers.

*Grant Giving to organisations that support our mission.

*Working with governments and donors to build the capacity of thousands of educators in Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America.

Our aim is that you can be your ‘best self’ in our organisation, contributing always to your own personal growth as well as our incredible mission.
