Overview
Valiente Renewables is a Singapore-incorporated developer and independent power producer (IPP) building utility-scale wind, solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects across Vietnam and the Philippines.
Our name comes from the Latin valere — to be strong, worthy. It reflects the resilience required to develop renewable energy infrastructure in complex, high-growth markets, and our commitment to doing it the right way: disciplined capital deployment, genuine local partnership, and ethical, community-centred development.
Founded in January 2026 by Sudhir Nunes — who previously founded and exited Levanta Renewables (to Actis, 2025) and led Orange Renewable's wind business in India (exit to Greenko, 2018) — Valiente combines institutional-grade development discipline with deep, on-the-ground experience in Southeast Asia's fastest-growing renewable energy markets.
We partner with local developers and landholders who bring land access and early-stage development rights, and we bring the capital discipline, technical expertise and institutional rigor to take projects from screening through to Ready-to-Build and beyond.
Focus: utility-scale onshore/nearshore wind, ground-mounted solar PV, and battery energy storage, including hybrid configurations, in Vietnam and the Philippines.
Ambition: a 500 MW regional platform within five years.
