Türkiye Shooting Federation

The Turkish Shooting Federation was established in 1923 within the Turkish Training Associations Alliance (Türkiye İdman Cemiyetleri İttifakı) with the aim of promoting, supporting, and developing the sport of shooting in Türkiye, a discipline with a history dating back to the 19th century. In 1957, the Federation gained autonomous status.

Today, the Turkish Shooting Federation is a public institution operating under the Ministry of Youth and Sports. It is responsible for conducting its activities in accordance with the international rules and standards established by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF).

The Federation carries out its work with the primary mission of expanding the sport of shooting across the country, developing projects that contribute to the advancement of the sport, and strengthening the presence of Turkish shooting on the international stage through its strong institutional structure and highly qualified staff. Since 2024, the Federation has been led by its President, Mr. Murat KOCAKAYA.

With a history of more than 100 years, the Turkish Shooting Federation organizes national competitions each year in five disciplines: Rifle & Pistol Shooting, Shotgun Shooting, Para Shooting, Para Trap Shooting, and Deaf Shooting. Through the National Teams established in each of these disciplines, the Federation proudly represents Türkiye in international competitions.
