Turkish Neonatal Society (TNS)

Turkish Neonatal Society, is a non-governmental organization, established to accelerate the professional development of medical staff working in the field of Neonatology in Turkey.

Turkish Neonatal Society organize several educative panels, courses, regional meetings and establish several guidelines. These guidelines have been followed closely by the doctors who serve as neonatal health care professionals all over Turkey. Turkish Neonatal Society also provides collaboration with other scientific societies that are closely in cooperation with Neonatology to organize educational meetings and establish common protocols. Turkish Neonatal Society pioneers to provide technical infrastructure and establish several multicenter studies in the neonatology area. It also encourage all clinical and experimental work in the field of neonatology by giving prizes to several papers, research projects and articles every year.

Turkish Neonatal Society grants scholarships to three succesful members each year to have observership in other countries. With all these activities, Turkish Neonatal Society aims to increase the knowledge and experience of its members and to provide standardized high quality health services in the field of neonatology Therefore, Turkish Neonatal Society works in close cooperation with the health authority for every scientific activity. Turkish Neonatal Society also organize informative and gathering meetings such as World Prematurity Day in which they come together with the families.

The mission of Turkish Neonatal Society is to facilitate all Neonatology Services in clinical practice, education, research and professional development areas in Turkey in an excellent manner.

Since 2015, Prof. Esin Koç, MD has been serving as the president of the Turkish Neonatal Society.
