Overview
TurkMSIC (Turkish Medical Students’ International Committee / Türk Tıp Öğrencileri Birliği) Türkiye’deki tıp öğrencileri arasında oluşturulmuş; bağımsız, siyasi olmayan, kar amacı gütmeyen en büyük ve en köklü kuruluştur. 1952 yılında kurulan TurkMSIC, üye fakülteleri ile Türkiye’deki 30.000 tıp fakültesi öğrencisini temsil etmekle birlikte, uluslararası çapta ise kurulduğu yıldan beri üyesi olduğu IFMSA(Uluslararası Tıp Öğrencileri Birliği Federasyonu) dâhilinde 120 ülke içinde Türkiye’yi temsil etmektedir.
TurkMSIC; Türkiye’deki tıp fakültesi öğrencileri için ve tıp fakültesi öğrencileri tarafından yürütülen, tamamen gönüllülük esas alınarak çalışan bir organizasyondur. Birleşmiş Milletler ve Dünya Sağlık Örgütü (WHO) tarafından resmi olarak tanınan Türkiye’deki ilk ve tek tıp öğrencileri forumudur.
