Founded in 1989 by Ayhan Öztekin and his sons in a small facility in Sungurlu, Sunka Kağıt began production with a modest capacity of 1,000 kg per day.

By accurately assessing the supply and demand dynamics in the market and continuously keeping track of the sector’s pulse, Sunka Kağıt maintained its rapid growth and increased its production capacity fifteenfold within just a few years.

Today, with its factory established on an area of 15,000 square meters, the company continues to further increase its production volume.

Believing in knowledge and experience, Sunka Kağıt has placed great importance on outsourcing and, by closely following technological developments, has chosen to work with experts in many fields. In this way, by focusing all its energy on its core business of paper production, and through the importance it attaches to information technologies and institutionalization, the company gained strong momentum in its growth thanks to the structural changes it underwent in 2008–2009.
