Starting production life in 1966, as a fastener manufacturing family company Ergün Metal, wended its way towards cold forging in order to meet the demand of the weld nut of developing automotive industry in Turkey in 1980, and laid foundations of today’s SOM Fasteners as the first domestic manufacturer who supplies weld nuts for Tofas, Turkey's one of the leading automotive factories.

SOM Fasteners, who has been transformed from a family company consisting of five persons to a modern organization structure which engages in activities in 23.000 sq. m of closed area with its 200 professional staff has adopted the principle of sustainable growth with its investments.

SOM Fasteners mainly produces fasteners for automotive industry and supply both domestically and abroad. As well as, serves special designed fasteners as a reliable partner globally to durable consumption sector, door-window, marble, construction and solar energy.
