Overview
Satko Telekomunikasyon Sistemleri Yonetimi provides data and satellite communication services to companies in Turkey. It operates a Tier1 carrier-neutral Datacenter in central Istanbul. Satko Telekomunikasyon introduced some of the first Internet connections of Turkey, mainly to Universities, and proceeded to provide the first commercial Internet services in Turkey. Satko Telekomunikasyon built Turkey's first Internet backbone, named Turnet, as a build/operate/transfer project for Turk Telekom.
Satko Telekomunikasyon Sistemleri Yonetimi was acquired by Turknet in 2008.
