Puruli Culture&Art

Established by professionals experienced in communication, design, culture and art, Puruli Culture&Art is a cultural operator dedicated to improve access to culture by addressing cultural, systemic, and physical barriers. Since 2013, we have been organizing Accessible Film Festival, providing visually, hearing, and orthopedically impaired audiences with access to recent examples of Turkish and world cinema. Each year, we strive to expand our reach, enhance our capacity and broaden our network to create a more inclusive art experience. In 2019, we co-founded “BE IN! Network of Accessible Film Festivals” with five other European festivals to promote accessibility in the film industry. Through collaborative projects like “Accessible Cinema: Breaking the Vicious Circle” funded by the EU in 2021-2022, we work with civil society organizations, policymakers, and film industry stakeholders to address accessibility challenges and advocate for inclusive cultural policies. In 2023, we initiated Çekirdek Eskişehir project funded by the Ortaklaşa Grant Program of Istanbul Foundation for Culture & Arts. This project aims to transform a municipal property in Eskişehir into a vibrant culture and arts venue, fostering inclusivity and accessibility in the community.
