Protek Sağlık Bilişim A.Ş. Radiological Examination Center established to review radiological examinations has started its operations. In this center, radiological examinations of patients are done according to the parameters set by the relevant specialty or emergency physician in the automation program of the healthcare institution. The center's aims are to use information and communication techniques to provide its services, to develop a digital hospital concept, to provide a solution for shortage of skilled professionals in medical imaging field, to provide consultation services for complex cases and to allow exchange of information and experience among physicians. Images are automatically sent to the imaging and reporting station of the receiving hospital according to the defined work flows; the consultant physician reviews the images and writes his/her report and sends it to the sender hospital's work station.

The center provides reports to institutions where no radiologist is available to ensure radiology services are provided in a higher number of healthcare institutions. The center will provide reporting service to hospitals with long waiting times to eliminate such long waits. Patient images taken at one end of Turkey can be viewed by physicians at the other end of the country.
