Preston Baker | Redefining Estate Agency through People, Performance & Innovation

Founded in 2008 by cousins Ian Preston and James Baker, Preston Baker launched in Yorkshire at the height of one of the UK property market’s most challenging periods. What started as a small franchise quickly grew into one of the region’s fastest-growing agencies – becoming fully independent by 2011 and earning national recognition for innovation, marketing, and customer service.

Today, Preston Baker is pioneering a new era of estate agency.

In a post-Covid world, we were one of the first UK agents to fully adopt a self-employed Associate model – empowering entrepreneurial estate agents to take control of their work/life balance while delivering a more personal and accountable experience to clients. Our Associates are business owners in their own right, rewarded for the results they deliver and backed by the full force of the Preston Baker brand, systems, and support team.

We offer far more than just estate agency. Preston Baker has evolved into a multi-service property group, including:

Architecture & Town Planning Consultancy – guiding homeowners and developers from design to planning permission.

Property Maintenance & Snagging Services – from reactive repairs and home improvements to full renovations and end-of-build snagging for developers.

Mortgage, Protection & Commercial Lending – helping homeowners, investors and businesses secure the right funding solutions.

New Homes Sales & Land Sourcing – supporting developers and landowners with expert guidance and end-to-end sales execution.

Whether you're a homeowner looking for a premium, one-to-one estate agency experience — or an ambitious agent seeking greater freedom and financial upside — Preston Baker is built for people like you.
