Pothys Retail Private Limited

Founded in 1935 by K.V. Pothy Moopanar, Pothys has grown from a small weaving operation in Srivilliputtur into a major retail empire. For over 90 years, we have balanced our history as weavers to royal households with a modern corporate identity built on scale and operational excellence.

A People-First Culture

While we are a powerhouse in the retail industry, we believe our people are our greatest asset. We describe Pothys as an "Aalayam" (Temple) a place built on trust, respect, and long-term relationships. With 19 thriving stores across South India and a strong team of 16,000 employees, we are proud to serve our customers every day. We offer a stable and supportive environment where your hard work is recognized and rewarded.

- World-Class Standards: In 2003, we became the first textile showroom in Tamil Nadu to receive the ISO 9001 certification. This means our employees work in a professional environment that follows international quality standards.

- Custodians of Craft: Our teams work with industry-leading labels like Samudrika, Parampara, and Vastrakala. These brands are global benchmarks for genuine Kanchipuram silk.

- Technology & Future Growth: We are not just about tradition; we are a forward-thinking organization. We are currently scaling our brand through a modern omnichannel platform.
