Pimodek Architecture

Founded by Msc. Architect Hasan Basri Hamulu in 1982, Pimodek is an Istanbul-based architectural studio that carries out project design and construction processes with a holistic approach. It continues its architectural practice through residential, office, commercial, hospitality, restoration, public and urban design works. In this sense, on the axis extending from interior space to architecture and urban scale, Pimodek adopts a contemporary perspective that considers design in its entirety, traces architectural principles while creating the relationship between detail and the whole, and aims to provide professional contribution to projects. The studio accepts architecture as a perceptual and experimential phenomenon that extends beyond physical reality.

With over 40 years of experience, Pimodek reveals today’s professional works under the direction of founder H. Basri Hamulu and his architect sons Ömer and Erdem Hamulu. Msc. Architect H. Basri Hamulu is a member of the Istanbul Association of Architects in Private Practice. At the same time, he is the curator and designer of the “Gates Of Paradise Photography Exhibition”, which is about the crown gates of the Divriği Complex, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and has been exhibited in many cities in Turkey and abroad since 2009. H. Basri Hamulu has been working on tourism and urban conservation master plans and different restoration projects for the town of Divriği for a long time.
