Photon Planet

Photon Planet Ltd. is an Australian company and the exclusive

distributor of Sunplus products in Australia and New Zealand.

We are committed to providing effective, convenient, and

affordable clean solutions and products to enhance the

capacity of solar photovoltaics in Australia and New

Zealand.

Sunplus reflective mat, when placed on the ground beneath bifacial solar panels, enhances electricity generation by increasing the amount of light that reaches the rear side of the panels. This reflective surface helps bounce sunlight back toward the panels, enabling more energy absorption from both sides. In optimal conditions, this technique can boost electricity generation by up to 10%, making it a cost-effective way to improve the efficiency of bifacial solar systems. The mat is particularly beneficial in installations where natural ground reflectivity is low, such as on darker surfaces or in regions with less sunlight.

By integrating Sunplus into your projects, here’s what you can expect:

•Installed Capacity: 1MW

•Solar Electricity Production Increase: 8% to 11%

•Additional Electricity Revenue Year 1: $24,000 (Feed-in tariff $0.1 in NSW)

•Additional Electricity Revenue Over 10 Years: $240,000

•Return on Investment (ROI): 35%

•Warranty: 10 years

Our reflective mats have been successfully deployed worldwide across 10 sites in Oman, Abu Dhabi, Japan, China, and India. Notably, we completed a 500MW project in Oman in Oct 2021 and a recent 147MW extension in January 2024.
