Otomotiv Mühendisliği Derneği (OTOM DER) 4 yıl boyunca 5 farklı üniversiteden öğrencilerin çalışmaları sonucunda birçok üniversite ve öğretim üyesinin desteğiyle Ağustos 2016 da kurulmuştur. Derneğin kuruluş amacı, Otomotiv Mühendisliğini tanıtmak, Otomotiv Mühendisliğinin sektöre tanıtımını yapmak ve kendi sektöründe tercih edilen bir bölüm olmasını sağlamaktır. OTOM DER bu amacı doğrultusunda medya ve otomotiv sektöründen iş birlikleriyle Otomotiv Mühendislerine kariyer şansı oluşturmaktadır.
