Overview
"Otomotiv Teknoloji Platformu" (OTEP) kurma çalışmaları 9-10 Mart 2007 tarihlerinde TÜBİTAK-TÜSSİDE salonlarında yapılan Çalıştay ile başlamış ve 1.10.2008 tarihinde TÜBİTAK'a sunulan İŞBAP projesinin kabulü ile tamamlanmıştır. OTEP'in kuruluş amacı:
"Araştırma ve inovasyon için yatırım teşvikini harekete geçirmek ve teknolojik olarak yenilikçi bir ekonomi ortaya çıkarmak için ulusal, bölgesel ve Avrupa ölçeğindeki faaliyetleri koordine etmek suretiyle katma değer yaratmak" olarak belirlenmiştir.
Otomotiv Ana Sanayi, Tedarikçi, Mühendislik, Test ve Analiz, Koordinasyon ve konu ile ilgili Yüksek Öğretim Kurumları'nın önemli bir kısmı OTEP üyesi olup, Sektörün Eleman, bilgi ve teknoloji geliştiren ve üreterek pazarlayan paydaşlar dengeli şekilde temsil edilmektedir.
