OnlyCat

OnlyCat makes a front door for cats.

Not a flap — a connected door that recognises each cat by microchip, sees what it's carrying, and decides whether to let it through. Freedom for them, calm for you.

Behind that simple job sits a properly hard engineering problem: fusing microchip reads, on-board sensors and on-device vision into a reliable decision, in a fraction of a second, on hardware bolted to an exterior door through a British winter. We design the electronics, write the firmware, train the vision models and build the app ourselves — from Cramlington in the North East of England.

We don't publish accuracy figures we can't stand behind, and we write up what we ship, including the parts that were harder than expected.

Wild outside. Calm inside.
