In November 1994 when National Golf Club was opened as the first golf club of Antalya Region, the number of round of golf was 14,000 round in year 1994.
In November 2013 the European Tour came to Turkey for the first time, with Victor Dubuisson taking home the trophy at the Montgomerie Maxx Royal.
The Turkish Open returns in 2014, along with the now long standing Ladies European Tour event at the National. Belek is also a past host of the Eisenhower Trophy, and the European Challenge Tour.
The Belek region in Antalya, Turkey is now a firmly established destination for golfers and as matter of course total round of golf was more than 513,000 last year in 2013.
