Ökten Corporate Group was founded by deceased Hüseyin Ökten in 1950s. Yeniköy Cast Mine was brought to life with the coalmine works that started in Istanbul Yeniköy lignite basin.

The son of deceased Hüseyin Ökten, our chairman, dear Kadir Ökten provided mining to spread from Edirne to Erzurum after 1976, and reached a level that can perform the functions in all degrees of mining, from production to marketing and it is a revolution in mining.

Not only coal mine, but he also added mines like feldspar, talk bentonite, zeolite, gemstones, silica sand, packing sand, marble to mining activities.

The company has ongoing thermal projects located in Erzurum and Edirne.

Private Afforestation - Ökten Group that is keeping environmental protection and afforestation activities very carefully brought with mining has created Ökten Forestry in Yeniköy, Istanbul and it is one of the best examples of these works.

Rehabilitation Works - There are environmental rehabilitation works as parallel to mining activities in Terkos-Yeniköy, Istanbul city borders and 196 hectares special forestry works are separately being kept.
