OKAB is an Istanbul law firm advising companies on commercial, intellectual property, technology and corporate matters. Established in 2018, we work with Turkish businesses and with international companies entering or operating in Türkiye — on the contracts, brand assets and regulatory decisions that are hard to reverse later.

What we do:

— Commercial and distribution: supply agreements, franchise, dealership and exclusive distributorship, agency relationships, termination and compensation disputes

— Intellectual property: trademark registration and licensing, brand protection, exhaustion of rights and parallel imports, copyright and software rights

— Technology and data: software and SaaS agreements, IT contracts, data protection and online platform compliance

— Corporate and competition: shareholder and company law matters, competition law, capital markets, financial restructuring

Our work is grounded in both practice and scholarship. Our founding partner, Atty. Oğuz Kara, is an academic in the field, and we mentor commercial entrepreneurs at universities and technoparks. This is what we mean by a new generation of law: precise, international in outlook, and built to be trusted.

We advise in Turkish and English, and work regularly with foreign counsel on cross-border matters. Based in Istanbul.
