Nurture Ecology Ltd

Nurture Ecology are Channel Islands ecological consultancy, biodiversity, natural landscaping and green infrastructure specialists, helping developers, architects, planners householders and landowners deliver projects that work, both for people and for nature.

Based in Jersey and working across the Channel Islands, we provide pragmatic, focused ecological advice that helps projects progress smoothly whilst delivering genuine biodiversity enhancement and strong ecological credentials.

Our work ranges from Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, protected species surveys and Ecological Clerk of Works services, through to biodiversity strategies, management plans, habitat creation, natural landscaping, conservation management and integrated green infrastructure solutions including green roofs, living walls and ecological planting schemes.

Since 2010, we’ve worked on everything from major infrastructure and government-led developments to private homes, always bringing a practical, solution-focused approach to complex ecological and planning challenges.

Our experienced team of qualified ecologists is the largest dedicated ecology team in the Channel Islands, allowing us to respond quickly to client requirements, efficiently deliver surveys and reporting, and support project programmes whilst working within seasonal ecological survey constraints and best practice guidance.

We understand that successful projects require balance. Our role is not simply to identify ecological constraints, but to help clients find practical, proportionate and creative solutions that support both development and biodiversity outcomes.

As biodiversity expectations and planning requirements continue to evolve across the Channel Islands, we’re passionate about helping create greener, resilient and more nature-rich places, delivering development projects and living spaces that work for people, whilst protecting, conserving and enhancing opportunities for wildlife.
