The ÇARMIKLI Family, originally from Arhavi, Artvin, had dealt until recently with trading. Later, they started to emphasize construction business, and furthermore getting more focused on contracting business.

Their father Eyüp Sabri ÇARMIKLI, led his business life in Ardahan doing commercial tailoring, haberdashery and contracting work. After he passed away, his children carried on his line of business and developed it further on. Established on January 17, 1966 as an equal partnership, Nurol is a combination of the syllables of their names Nurettin and Erol. At the time Oğuz ÇARMIKLI was studying in school. But later, in 1981 joined the group as a partner. As a result, Nurol Holding has made it until today as a partnership of equally owned shares by the three brothers .

Nurol Group of Companies, with its business experience of more than half a century, is a worldwide success today with its more than 40 establishments, participations and affiliated partnerships in several sectors ranging from trade to defense industry, from construction to machinery and manufacturing, and from tourism to finance.
