Her brand Nej, created in 2001, is positioned as an 'ecologic' and 'organic' brand based on the materials used in her designs.

The Nej brand defines the woman who creates her era and the men who shapes the future.

She is the first woman chosen from Turkey for the '10,000 Women Entrepreneur' project that is supported by Goldman Sachs and carried out by Harvard University and University of Pennsylvania. The case study about the success of Nejla Güvenç is used as course materials at universities.

Nej showed the success of being one of the ten selected worldwide designers by the British Vogue Magazine, as the only one designer from Turkey.

Nej collections represent a strong, passionate urban style and reflect an irresistible elegance.

Nej is the only fashion designer that has organic collection in Turkey.

Nej collection cares the environment during the production, usage and termination processes for sustainable Earth conditions.

Nej brand has been chosen by ITKIB (Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters' Associations) to represent Turkey around the world.

She is qualified as the 'Authenticated Designer' by the TURQUALITY project developed by DTM (Undersecretaries of Foreign Trade) to create better Turkish brands in the international arena.

She is the board member of MTD (Fashion Designers' Association) and YEKON (Creative Industries Council Association). And a member of OTIAD (Osmanbey Textile Businessmen's Association).

She received 2nd place out of 500 participants in the "Most Promising Woman Entrepreneur" category of the 5th "Turkey's Woman Entrepreneur" competition that was held with the collaboration of Garanti Bank, the Economist Magazine and the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey (KAGIDER) in 2011. In the project carried out by 'Garanti Bankası' for women entrepreneurs, she won the Corporate Social Responsibility award under the ‘European Excellence Awards 2010’.
