National Student Research Institution (NSRI)

NSRI is a student-led, fiscally sponsored NPO that helps high school and undergraduate students conduct and publish research, regardless of geography, school resources, or prior access to research opportunities. Supporting 16,843+ researchers across 98 countries, NSRI operates 168 research groups, 38 chapters, and a network of PhD advisors.

Students can enter through research training, join or form a research team, develop a project with mentorship, conduct the research, write a manuscript, and receive editorial, research-integrity, and scholarly review support. Completed work can then be published or archived through NSRI’s research infrastructure, including the NSRI Student Research Journal, which holds Online ISSN 3143-5653, and DOI-supported publication pathways. The goal is to give students access to the full research process, from their first research question to a permanent, citable scholarly output.
