Nakkas Shipping & Trading Co. is one of the oldest Turkish shipping companies ; established originally in 1860 in Mersin / Turkey.

İn the beginning ,the core of the business was serving ; worldwide-known Owners' vessels as agents, which is still an important part of the business activities today. Starting from 2000's the company widen its ranch to ship owning and management. Currently Nakkaş's focus on ship management activities is for Chemical tankes. In 6.000 - 10.000 dwt.

In 2002 the company moved its head office to Istanbul , right in the heart of Turkish shipping and trading market, to meet the demands arising from ship management services given to the bulk carriers. Presently the company has its own branch agency offices in Mersin, Bandirma, Iskenderun, Izmir and also has sub-agents at all remaining Turkish ports.

Nakkas Shipping & Trading Co. is nowadays concentrated on dealing with a wide range of dry cargoes including steel, minerals, grain, coal, and project cargoes on the basis of agency, chartering and brokering and ship management for bulk carriers and chemical tankers.
