My Little Ears

We are a paediatric hearing clinic, dedicated to improving early identification and management of glue ear in children.

We are the conveners of the Glue Ear Awareness Course for Early Years Educators and parents - equipping them with the knowledge to recognise glue ear early and reduce its impact on children’s speech, learning, and social development.

We also founded, and remain the only provider of, the Universal Glue Ear Screening Programme in the UK. This programme offers glue ear screening for children in nursery settings and in schools (Reception, Year 1, and Year 2). The service is fully sponsored by us and delivered free at the point of care.

There are three proven ways to protect children from the negative effects of glue ear:

Awareness - Educators and parents complete the Glue Ear Awareness Course.

Early Identification - Nurseries and schools enrol in the Universal Glue Ear Screening Programme.

Ongoing Monitoring during at risk years - Parents register their children in the Early Years Hearing Plan, providing hearing tests and glue ear checks twice a year until age 7, when the Eustachian tube typically matures and glue ear risk decreases.
