METU Vertical Landing Rocket Technologies Society

METU Vertical Landing Rocket Technologies Club is a student team that started its activities in January 2022 by engineering students who are all seniors at METU. Initially working as the METU-X Rocket Team, the team later became a club that includes different projects related to vertical landing rocket technologies.

Our first goal is to develop innovative approaches by conducting research on pneumatic systems, mechanical design, structural analysis, guidance control and autopilot system design, flight simulation, and avionics design in the field of vertical landing rockets and to raise awareness about these technologies. Our second goal is to provide a professional engineering simulation for our engineering candidates in technical and social terms. We are a club where our teammates can determine their areas of interest before graduating, take an active role in studies conducted in different fields, and gain experience as if they were working in a professional company in various different fields, including project management and organization. Our third and perhaps biggest goal is to bring successful and technically capable engineers to our country.
