Ankara Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters Association was established in 1993 and has more than 4500 members. The Association was formed with the aim of increasing exports, enhancing professional solidarity, organizing the professional activities and relations of the exporters, finding solutions to their problems, and providing guidance.

Realizing approximately 2.2% of the world steel production, Turkey is the world’s 7th biggest steel exporter, 9th biggest steel importer, and the world’s biggest exporter of structural iron in terms of quantity. Being the biggest supplier of steel products to the Middle Eastern and Gulf countries and a net exporter of long products, Turkish steel sector aims to become a net exporter of flat products as well in a couple of years.
