MEDGAL was founded in February 1982 by its current owner, M.Sc. Eng. Józef Borowski. Initially, the company specialized in precision mechanics, but by the mid-1980s, it shifted its focus to the design, production, and sale of medical devices.

In the 1990s, we took a significant step forward by launching the production of our first orthopedic implants. What began as relatively simple designs soon evolved into highly advanced and complex solutions. By the mid-1990s, MEDGAL’s design and technology department was deeply engaged in research and development, pioneering innovative intramedullary locking nails for the treatment of long bone fractures, along with the specialized surgical instruments required for their implantation.

A major milestone came in 2020 when MEDGAL became the first Polish company to introduce a fully Polish-made total hip replacement implant. This groundbreaking achievement reinforced our position as an industry leader, showcasing our dedication to innovation, quality, and domestic production.

Over the years, we have continuously expanded our product range, introducing new designs and advanced technological solutions. To achieve our ambitious goals, we consistently invest in high-precision tooling machines and state-of-the-art processing equipment, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and excellence in our products.

A testament to our commitment and evolution is the fact that we have now implemented over 10,000 hip joints. This remarkable achievement reflects our dedication to progress, innovation, and improving the quality of life for patients worldwide.
