MDP | Merlino Design Partnership

MDP has provided design services for senior communities since 1973. In that time, the firm has celebrated noteworthy milestones, been awarded newsworthy projects, nurtured long-standing client and partner relationships and received local, national and international recognition.

At MDP, our roots in senior living design have created a deep sensitivity to the diverse needs of all people. Whether a senior living, multifamily or hospitality project, we believe in designing thoughtful environments that support the universal needs of our population. The places where we live, work and play should not be a constant reminder of one’s limitations – but a suggestion of what is possible. We strive to create engaging environments that encourage inspired living. MDP is committed to Inspired Design.

MDP’s Inspired Design emerges from our collaborative process and is fueled by the unique circumstances of each project. As we strive to respond to the lifestyles, attitudes, expectations and habits of the diverse senior population, we are listening and learning from the residents and project stakeholders. These multiple perspectives reveal the heart of the community, and our designs bring that essence to life. More than beautiful and functional spaces, we create purposeful environments that evoke emotion—engaging environments that encourage an inspired life.
