Overview
matla is an international architecture, engineering and design practice, founded in 2008, with offices in London and Istanbul and an international, multilingual team based across different regions of the world.
We hold the whole of a project under one team: architecture, engineering and interior architecture, then construction, construction supervision and the restoration of older buildings. One team carries each commission from the first sketch to handover, with no handoffs and nothing lost between the drawing and the building. We draw nothing we cannot build.
In that time we have completed close to 500 projects in around 35 countries, around 8 million square meters in all, supported by a network of more than 150 people across disciplines. We work at every scale, from a single private jet cabin or one to a masterplan above 1,000,000 square meters, and we give the small commission the same care as the large one.
One line runs through all of it: the same hand, drawn to be built.
