Do you have a specific sound in mind that you can’t wait to share with the world?

Mr. Georgios Marinakis did! As a result, he set himself to find an instrument of exceptional sound for his own studio recorded performances. After years of research, all he found was a lack of transparency and limited assortments. Thus, he took the initiative to manufacture the instrument of his dreams in 2017.

Two years later, he managed to introduce his first handmade Turkish Oud and Greek Bouzouki instruments. He also constructed his first string making machine “from scratch” and started working on manufacturing strings for several instruments as well.

Today, Mr. Marinakis offers high quality handmade strings for 11 different instruments! His mission is to cultivate a more transparent, sustainable, and compassionate music industry by producing uniquely handcrafted products of the highest quality.

Short Bio - GEORGIOS MARINAKIS

Born in Kalamata, Greece in 1981, Georgios Marinakis, is a composer, musician, and luthier who’s persistence and connection to the beautiful sound of the Oud opened the gates to perform alongside music masters such as Ruhi Ayangil, Özer Özel, Göksel Baktagir, Yurdal Tokcan and Nedim Nalbantoğlu.

Today, he is a recognized Oud virtuoso who has appeared in many TV and Radio talk shows, such as TRT and the BBC. He has also contributed to large scale recordings and musical performances in Europe especially in Turkey, Greece, and Cyprus including world famous festivals like the Yorgo Bacano Oud Festival. His compositions are currently featured on “RFI” the International French Radio.
