Loading Art Space

Loading is an independent contemporary art space based in Diyarbakır, active since 2017 with a focus on artistic production, research, archiving, and international engagement.

Its founding purpose is to collaboratively address challenges faced by artists in conceptual and production processes, to archive contemporary art practices in the city since the early 2000s, and to strengthen Diyarbakır’s visibility within the international art field.

Through exhibitions, talks, workshops, screenings, symposia, and residency programs, Loading creates a space for critical dialogue among local and international artists, researchers, and audiences.

Supported by its library, publications, and archival initiatives, it functions as a source of knowledge and inspiration for artists, students, and cultural communities in the region.

Operating as a non-profit organization, Loading sustains interdisciplinary production, makes cultural memory visible, and connects contemporary art with public life.
