Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited is one of India's fastest-growing integrated mining and metals companies, listed on the Indian stock exchanges with a market capitalization of approximately USD 11 billion. The company is building a fully integrated mining-to-metals platform spanning iron ore mining, beneficiation, pelletization, DRI production, steel manufacturing, logistics, and renewable energy, while also evolving into a diversified, multi-commodity company, extending its footprint beyond iron and steel into critical metals and minerals such as Copper, Cobalt and Gold.

Headquartered in Mumbai, LMEL operates the Surjagarh Iron Ore Mine in Maharashtra — India's largest and highest-quality iron ore assets — with a production capacity of 55 MTPA. The company also has 0.7 MTPA of DRI capacity, and 8 MTPA of pellet capacity, alongside further investments in steel projects with an upcoming capacity of 1.2 MTPA.

LMEL is also building a globally competitive critical minerals platform in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The company's DRC entry was marked by the acquisition of the CHEMAF Group, comprising over fifty mining licenses anchored by the Mutoshi and Etoile plants in the heart of the Katanga Copper Belt, one of the richest copper-cobalt geological zones in the world. Upon completion of ongoing expansion, production capacity in the DRC is projected to reach approximately 80,000 TPA of copper and 12,000 TPA of cobalt. LMEL has further deepened its DRC footprint by securing additional copper concessions and processing facilities, including Surya Mine SARL and eight other DRC companies. Through these acquisitions, LMEL manages the entire value chain in the DRC, from mine development to offtake.

Beyond the DRC, LMEL is pursuing planned expansion into Papua New Guinea, with a growing focus on critical minerals — copper, cobalt, and gold.
