Life Skills Education Charity

Life Skills Education is the UK's leading provider of evidence-based prevention education, empowering young people to make safe, confident decisions in risky situations.

Our Impact:

Since 1995, we've reached over 500,000 young people across England and internationally. We currently deliver programmes to 13,000+ pupils in 300+ schools annually. In 2025, we celebrate 30 years of helping young people navigate risk.

Evidence-Based Approach:

Our programmes have undergone two large-scale Randomised Control Trial (RCT) evaluations proving significant positive impact on decision-making. Teachers consistently rate us Good or Outstanding against UN Office on Drugs and Crime recommendations. We're proud Youth Endowment Fund recipients.

What Makes Us Different:

Our unique SKILL Decision-Making Model uses real-life scenarios from young people who've faced these challenges. We focus on pupils aged 9-16 who are susceptible to drugs, alcohol, or tobacco, teaching them to think before they act, understand others' perspectives, and manage impulsiveness.

Originally partnering with DARE America, Nottinghamshire Police and Mansfield District Council in 1994, we evolved into Life Skills Education C.I.C. (Community Interest Company) in 2011, achieving Charitable status. We've delivered programmes in 280 English schools, plus schools in Germany, Cyprus and the Falklands.

Training & Resources:

We train teachers to deliver our programme and supply evaluated resources, ensuring sustainable impact across whole schools.
