Lakestar
Venture Capital and Private Equity Principals
Overview
Patient. Principled. Founder-centric.
Lakestar is the investment firm founded by Dr. Klaus Hommels in 2012.
It has over $6 billion in assets under management, on a platform that spans institutional venture capital funds and personal investments across stages and geographies. We partner with category-defining companies such as Airbnb, Fuse, Isar Aerospace, Helsing, Neko, Revolut, and Spotify.
We exist because the environment in which technology is built, and decisions are made, has fundamentally changed. We are focused on maximising the potential of our existing portfolio and building targeted investment products that help our companies grow, supporting Europe’s sovereignty and prosperity.
Less noise. More commitment. More time where it matters: with founders.
