Most AI teams in production are running their highest-volume tasks on foundation model APIs — GPT-4o, Claude, Gemini. The model works. The cost doesn't. A team running 500K requests per month on a single repeated task is paying $10K–$25K/month for capability it will never use.

Konic replaces that API call with a small, owned model — 7B to 14B parameters — fine-tuned with reinforcement learning on the exact task. The result outperforms the foundation model on the task benchmark and costs a fraction of the price to serve. The model is delivered with full weight ownership, an inspectable reward function, and an automated retraining pipeline connected to production signals.
