Knitwear Lab makes an impact by sharing knowledge and craftsmanship. As one of Northern Europe's largest knowledge hubs on Industrial Knitwear, it's our responsibility to advise our clients on sustainable design, materials and production methods. We always aim to design the most beautiful and innovative knits in the most efficient way, while minimizing our ecological footprint. Our knitting technology allows us to knit designs entirely out of one piece, without producing waste. By reducing the number of components, we shorten the production chain considerably, making production on-demand feasible.

We use our extensive yarn knowledge to advise clients on finding the most sustainable options within their requirements, and we contribute to the development of yarns from recycled waste, collaborating with yarn suppliers on research projects and testing yarns made from recycled materials like post-industrial waste.

Being a Lab dedicated to innovation in knitwear makes us a sustainable company by nature. Over the years we've realized many boundary-pushing circular initiatives, from starting designers to bigger brands, and with every project we grow our knowledge of sustainable design and production methods. We also organize a course on Industrial Knitwear for professionals every season, helping designers and brands discover the endless sustainable possibilities of knitwear so they can design more durable products.

Besides apparel, we see benefits for automotive, medical applications, body protection, smart textiles, architecture and other disciplines that require complex shapes made with precision.
