KiwiHarvest Queenstown & Central Lakes
Non-profit Organizations in New Zealand
Overview
At KiwiHarvest we believe that every New Zealander, especially our most vulnerable children and families, should have access to fresh, nutritious food.
Aotearoa New Zealand produces enough food to feed 20 million people, yet every day tonnes of food is thrown out and sent to landfill. Most of it perfectly edible.
Our team at KiwiHarvest Queenstown & Central Lakes collects surplus food from all types of food providers including supermarkets, hotels, cafes, orchards and farms and delivers this rescued food to community groups concentrating on supporting their local communities.
The difference we can make, together with the support of our local businesses, adds up to some big changes helping to reduce the $872 million* worth of food thrown away each year in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Find out more about how you or your business can help us champion this cause and improve our social and environmental well being at www.kiwiharvest.org.nz.
