İş Leasing 1988 yılında Dünya Bankası kuruluşu IFC, Türkiye İş Bankası, Türkiye Sınai Kalkınma Bankası, Sınai Yatırım Bankası ve Societe Generale ortaklığı ile kurulmuştur. Türkiye İş Bankası, 1995 yılında yabancı ortaklarının tüm hisselerini devralarak şirketin faaliyetlerine daha da hız vermiştir.
