Hospice in the Weald

Hospice in the Weald is a charity providing compassionate, individualised, holistic and supportive care for all people with a terminal illness, their families, and carers. Serving communities across West Kent and East Sussex, we provide hospice care through our Living Well Service, Hospice Outreach Service, Counselling Support Service, and In-Patient Wards in Pembury and Five Ashes.

It costs over £9 million to run the Hospice with only 13% of our funding provided by the government. We are reliant on the support of the community we serve to donate and fundraise in order to maintain our vital services. Over 1,000 volunteers give their time to the Hospice helping us run efficiently and effectively as part of the local community.

We strive to make death as dignified as possible and to celebrate the lives of those we care for, however long they might have left to live, by providing medical, nursing, emotional and spiritual care.
