Genpute Hesaplama Teknolojileri A.Ş.

Genpute Computing Technologies is a technology company, headquartered in Istanbul, that carries out R&D activities in İTÜ Arı Teknokent and works out value added and innovative solutions for their customers while keeping up with the new technologies.

GENPUTE Computing Technologies Joint Stock Company is a spin-off company of ERLAB Teknoloji A.Ş., operating in ITU ARI-I Teknokent. GENPUTE develops solutions in two core technologies. The first and the company's field of activity is to develop projects for the calculation of genetic data (DNA data) for use in laboratories and hospitals. ERLAB, GENPUTE and its expert staff have 2 patents in this field and many publications in international scientific articles. Ability to design algorithms for complex calculations over time, It has also enabled the creation of projects at the point of development of search engines, which is a second technology area. In this regard, collaborations are made with Istanbul Technical University, with which it shares the same campus. Thanks to this cooperation, joint projects are produced and expert (doctoral) company personnel give lectures at the university.

In recent years, GENPUTE company, with its experience and knowledge on large and complex data, has been producing software in a new field where all music works from past to present are recorded and royalty fees are calculated.

In 2018, with the encouragement and demand of the relevant ministry, the two professional associations contacted the departments of universities working on this issue in order to realize a joint project. At the end of these researches, professional associations and Istanbul Technical University decided to realize this project.

Thanks to the university-company collaborations briefly summarized above, the relevant units of the university evaluated that GENPUTE's experience in data processing and algorithm development is necessary for this project and made an offer to ERLAB-GENPUTE as the company to work with.
